Shy stated they ~~~ill no~~~ allow those types of signs once <br />a year for two weeks for any busnle~s but. ii up t~~r disc ussion with the Commission. <br />Commissioner Cleveland stated she. wondered it thc~, should allow thesefor a shorter duration <br />but more than once a year. <br />Chairperson ?'sritr stated he ~~~ould be incli~~ed to say a business could have a maximum number of <br />events o~~er the course of the ~~ear so thz~: have both the ~frequenGy and aggregate type of <br />restriction. <br />The Commission discussed ihe. possible restrictions for large signs. <br />Cunlmissio»ur Levine stated he ti~ould be cautious not to limit signage because it allows people <br />to market their business. <br />Associate 1'lanncr Dalnes thought these types of signs deserve a little more restriction. <br />Commissioner Le~iii~ ihouaht these were more temporary in nature and designed to attract and <br />wondered if they should b~ considered a sign. <br />Commissioner Brauer agreed. <br />Chairperson Nixt felt they needed a tune limit on this type of signage. <br />The Commission thought these types of attractions should be allowed four times a year, for up to <br />one week at a time. <br />-175- <br />
