BRAUER'& AsSOclf\fES, bD. <br />l.ANO USE PlANNING AND DESIGN <br /> <br />February 6,2008 <br /> <br />City of Ramsey <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Attn: Mark Riverblood, Parks Supervisor <br /> <br />RE; Professional Services Proposal- Park Master Planning Services - Sunfish Lake Park <br /> <br />This letter proposal outlines a scope of services, fee schedule, and other elements which, if approved, constitute an Agreement <br />between the City of Ramsey Minnesota, herein referred to as the OWNER, and Brauer and Associates, Ltd.,herein referred to <br />as the CONSULTANT. <br /> <br />The OWNER hereby retains the CONSULTANT to provide professional services required to complete a master plan Sun Fish <br />Lake Park for SunFish Lake Park located in Ramsey, Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the PROJECT. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT'S services shall include the following: <br /> <br />A. SCOPE OF-SERVICES "A" - Park Master Planning. <br /> <br />I, Task 1 - Confirm Understanding / Approach to the Project <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT. shall review the project goals with the OWNER and finalize the project approach. <br />Topics to be discussed include but are not limited to: <br />>- Identification of key issues <br />>- Exploration of preliminary concepts' for related residential housing within the park planning area as <br />defined by the City of Ramsey SunFish Lake Park Study Area. See attached Exhibit 'A'. <br />>- Collection and review of background information available from the OWNER and other units of <br />government <br />>- Research potential park uses and connections <br />>- Determine support materials necessary for meetings with city staff and consultants <br />>- Review project phasing and ownership issues as well as develop a project schedule. <br />>- Research alternative funding mechanisms for park development. <br />>- Determine and outline a public participation process <br /> <br />2. Task 2 - Assemble Base InformlJ,tion and Tour the Project Area <br />The CONSULT ANT shall assemble project base map information form available data sources. Existing <br />boundary and topographical surveys and aerial photography will be used to create a CAD/GIS base map for <br />the project area. The CONSULTANT shall gather soil, -land cover and natural resources information <br />available from Anoka County Conservation District. The CONSULTANT shall also, supplement the natural <br />resources information from the County with the Cities city~wide Natural Resources Inventory currently being <br />developed and shall document natural features not apparent on the base mapping with a photographic <br />inventory of the property. <br /> <br />3. Task 3 - Prepare a Park Service Area Analysis <br />The CONSULTANT shall gather and compile releVant land use and housing information to determine the <br />likely number of near and long term users of the proposed park facilities.
