<br />Mr. Demers explained that the options allow for additional parkland. <br /> <br />Mr. Demers explained that the Single Point presentation is at Sunfish, which would help avoid <br />removing the homes, which are shown. He explained it would be a newer style of interchange, <br />which would improve the elevation of the frontage roads. He explained that additional bridge <br />deck would be needed to achieve this because of the elevation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey asked for clarification. <br /> <br />Mr. Demers explained that the angle would be more abrupt than the typical 90 percent leading to <br />additional cost. <br /> <br />Mr. Demers explained the Offset Single Point option would allow for three bridges and the space <br />between ramps would be reduced. He explained the average would be a different grading at <br />Sunfish. He explained that this could be repeated at Ramsey Boulevard. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked how the grading will work. <br /> <br />Mr. Demers stated that it has not all been worked out at this point. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if this should be decided now before the community and <br />homeowners are informed. He suggested that this will help determine which areas are impacted. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that the process is tied to funding and needs to be handled in this <br />manner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen explained that the areas impacted are in his ward. He anticipated that he <br />will receive a lot of phone calls for a project that has not been decided on. He asked for <br />clarification on which owners will be impacted. <br /> <br />Mr. Demers explained that the plan is to meet with business owners to discuss the plan. He <br />explained that the information was to be presented to Council first before that step was taken. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that all three plans should be presented so there is a choice. He <br />explained if only one plan is shown, people will create alternative ideas. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked that all the communities who will be potentially impacted have <br />information given to them up front in the process. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that there was a meeting regarding the area along the river where <br />people were informed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that there are often questions from callers who want to know who <br />makes the decision on these types of projects.
