Park and R ~.~r.eaOon Commission attend the Anoka County Parks meetings. He offered to find out <br /> the dates adtl~, tirn~s of meetings and report back to the Commission. <br /> #17: Pro'ire ',~ 1992 for a study of the future needs for space for municipal facilities including <br /> park and rel:reat~0n buildings as well as the old town hall building: Mr. Boos stated the LCMR <br /> proposal dells with the old town hall and that would be better discussed in the next case. <br /> <br /> Joint trails which, would greatly benefit the Crees of Andover, Anoka and Ramsey were discussed,. <br /> <br /> Commissioper B, lorentius suggested a member of the Park and Recreation Commission~t~end <br /> ~eeting4;-as~a repre-semafive-of~theC-ity-ofRamsey.~ <br /> <br /> #18: Coniinue~to seek out and secure all grant and program monies from federal, regional and <br /> ~ate agencies a~Well as initiation of private foundation requests: Mr. Boos offered to keep the <br />~3~Commissio~ informed of the monies available. He stated that City Staff is aware of all that's <br /> {&vailable an~l,arettaking advantage of applying for these grants. <br /> <br /> Park dedica~lions and assessments for park development were discussed. <br /> <br /> ParksAJtiliti ~s C(~ordinator Boos advised the Co~mission that City Council had added three more <br /> goals on to l ~e',p~k and Recreation Commission s list. They are as follows: <br /> 1) Ado ~l;-a-~ark Program - "B" priority. <br /> 2) Esta fiiSh ~ score board at Central P ,ar,,,k,- "B" priority. <br /> 3) Pote trial ~thletic field at City Hall - B priority. <br /> He suggeste t: degeloping a concept plan for the 20 acres at City Hall and also mentioned planting <br /> trees along te 'peril'meter of City Hall. <br /> Commissio§er Pkall volunteered to handle #15: Review the service delivery of recreational <br /> programmi ~,r~g thr{mgh the community education system and initiate discussions with the Cities of <br /> Dayton, Chtrnpl~n, Anoka and Andover with the intent of providing for improved recreational <br /> service deliqery t~ youth within the community. <br /> <br /> Mr. Boos pffppos~d that each Commissioner review the goals list again and at the next meeting <br /> indicate whi~h~ go}ds they would like to take care of. <br /> <br /> Case #3: ~ Consider Adoption of Internal Commission Policy <br /> ¥ <br /> <br /> Parks/Utilities COordinator Boos stated that language had been previously discussed to include in <br /> the City Co~< to fielp solve Commission attendance problems. <br /> Chairperso.n~etlgnd stated that Commissioner Rustad had informed him that he must resign from <br /> the Commi~ion .~lue to job commitments. He suggested that this may be a good time for the <br /> present Co ~rr~.~ iss~oners to assess their involvement with the Commission. <br /> <br /> Discussion egsued whether the Code should state three consecutive meetings missed or if it should <br /> state three .~¢etihgs total missed for the year would result in being dismissed from a City <br /> Commissior~, and What would constitute an excused and unexcused absence.
