<br />own staff and what typically happens is they do not contact the City or let them know they have <br />progressed to the next step and this will make enforcement of the regulations a little easier. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hunt thought this was an invasion of privacy and did not like that. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy returned to the meeting at 9:29 p.m. <br /> <br />Colin McClone, 15890 St. Andrews Lane, asked with the proposed ordinance he could see how <br />the licenses and such it would still be difficult to find the people and bring them into compliance <br />which would take a long time. He asked where in the ordinance is it going to work with the <br />abatement ordinances, etc. and the Compo Plan Amendment. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated one of the criteria's is that there will <br />not be any evidence of a business outside of the home and they do have regulations today for <br />commercial vehicles and equipment under the off street parking regulations. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Levine, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Van Scoy, Brauer, <br />Cleveland, and Hunt. Voting No: 'None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 9:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 9:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hunt wondered if there will be a fee for an application. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated there would be but did not know what <br />it would be. <br /> <br />Staff discussed with staff what constitutes an in home business. Commissioner Cleveland <br />thought if someone was soliciting that would be considered a home business. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Bouten from Champlin Towing asked what kind of regulations do they have on home <br />businesses and what would the fee be. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated they have not determined a fee yet. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated this captures every individual who is making money for themselves. <br /> <br />Planning Commission I April 3, 2008 <br />Page 18 of 21 <br />
