Motion by C~u~eilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to not appeal the <br />condemnatib~ award for the Laws parcel. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer and <br />Zimmermati. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by rCOUncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution ~t92-04-074 receiving bids and awarding a contract for the paving of Central Park's <br />parking lot, <br /> <br />Motion can,l. {<1. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, Beyer <br />and Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request to Advertise for bids for Public Works Department Truck <br /> <br />City AdminlStrator Schroeder stated that in the 1992 budget, $52,000 was budgeted to buy a truck <br />that is due fO~ reiflacement in the Public Works Department. This truck was originally scheduled <br />for replacenleht in 1989; however, due to low mileage and good condition of the track, at that time, <br />it was decid'bd to extend the replacement schedule as long as possible. <br /> <br />Motion by C~.un¢ilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />g92-04-075'auth0rizing advertisement for bids for 32,000g G.V.W. cab and chassis with plow, <br />wing, sander ~md dump body for the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Motion carrirxt. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman0 !Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: Introduce Ordinance to Amend City Code Chapter 9, Signs <br /> <br />Zoning Admilais~ator Frolik stated that City Staff, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the <br />Economic Dei, elaPment Commission have been working to draft an ordinance to improve, clarify <br />and replace th{~ e~sting regulations for signs in the City of Ramsey. She presented comparisons of <br />the current Ordinance versus the proposed regulations for some of the primary areas of the sign <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Council reviewed the Sign Ordinance and suggested redrafting the Section 9.12.95 Temporary <br />Signs subd. $ Real Estate Signs to allow for off-site directional signs for residential projects. <br /> <br />Councilmember F. tardin stated he has some concerns pertaining to signs and would like to work <br />with Ms. Frolik to research these concerns. <br /> <br />Motion by Couneilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to table this <br />case. <br /> <br />Motion carri~ed.. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, Beyer <br />and Hardin. ¥otil!g No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Personnel Committee met on April 14, 1992 and <br />reviewed and:approved the performance appraisal for Inspector Steve Lutmer. They further <br />recommended{ th~ another three-month review be performed in early July 1992 and that Mr. <br />Lutmer receiY~ written notice of Councils concerns. They reviewed and discussed the proposed <br />changes to Chapter 2 of the City Code "Council, Boards and Commissions" and recommended that <br /> <br />City Council/April 28, 1992 <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
