<br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br />AN ACCOUNTANT I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's former Accountant I resigned from her position effective <br />April 28, 2008 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 22, 2008 the City Council authorized staff to begin the <br />recruitment process to fill the soon-to-be vacant Accountant I position; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and 58 applications were received <br />and 9 applicants were interviewed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKACOUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Hire Jennifer Hoffarth as the City's new Accountant I, effective July 7, 2008, at an hourly <br />wage of $20.17. All personnel polices will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following v'oted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 24rd day of June 2008. <br /> <br />-132- <br />
