Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Receive Petition for the Bituminous Paving of Ute Street North of 179th Lane <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski noted that staff would like to hold the neighborhood meeting before the <br />feasibility study is completed to get early feedback from residents on what they see as potential <br />issues. He noted that staff had received another petition recently from residents in the 151 st and <br />152nd areas. . <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to accept the petition for <br />the bituminous paving of Ute Street North of 179th Lane and direct staff to prepare a feasibility <br />study to be reviewed by the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #08-06-XXX Amending the City's Rates and Charges by <br />Establishing a Fee for Administrative Home Occupation Permits and <br />Requests for Administrative Appeals <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated that the fee for Home Occupation permits is $200 and he questions <br />if this will encourage people or discourage them from filing the paperwork. He asked what the 2 <br />hours of staff time would include. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller stated that these permits are the one that will not go <br />before the Planning Commission or Council, but will still require site visits and inspections by <br />staff. She stated that staff determined that the average time to review properties would be about <br />2 hours and noted that with the old process, this would cost $600 to go through the CUP process. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked what an Administrative Appeal was. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen noted that this would be for the situations discussed after the last <br />Council meeting when there were residents who had appealed staff decisions. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller stated that the recent appeals were not charged a fee, <br />so there needed to be a fee established to cover the costs of preparing a case to bring before the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to Adopt Resolution <br />#08-06-101 Amending the City's Rates and Charges by Establishing a fee for Administrative <br />Home Occupation Permits and Requests for Administrative Appeals. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
