Management Intern Gladhill indicated two driveways are allowed on this property in this zoning
district.

Management Intern Gladhill indicated there did not need to be a firewall required at this time.

Vice Chairperson Levine stated he went and looked at the parcel and he did not think the existing
shed was visible or offensive. He stated he was not in favor of removing the shed in order to
build the proposed structure.

Commissioner Rogers agreed.

Commissioner VanScoy stated his concern was they have multiple times expanded the storage
space and they are still looking at a CUP. He wondered at what point they come up with some
sort of guidelines that work because they are constantly dealing with these issues. He asked Mr.
Burrell if he needed a fifty-foot shed.

Mr. Burrell stated he would like to have enough room to be able to walk around his camper and
boat and to also storehis tools and a Model A. He stated he would also like to get a four-wheeler
and keep everything under cover for security purposes.

Commissioner Brauer indicated the reason he brought this up was because the items listed are
not unusual to what other people have and he wondered if maybe when they get to the ordinance
if it is really too tight the way it is.

Associate Planner DaInes stated they have not had a request for an overage in almost two years. .
This is the second request since they increased the square footage in 2006.

Commissioner Cleveland stated the building seemed so excessive and having it sitting right in
line with the house does not look right to her. even if it seems appropriate. She wondered if they
are going to end up with an industrial park in the area with having all of the accessory buildings
being approved.

Commissioner Hunt did not think that taking anything off the back would do anything visually
and did not believe it would be an issue.

Vice Chairperson Levine noted it is in compliance right now the way it is and he did not see a
problem.

Commissioner Cleveland stated if this building were pushed back a little further so it is scaled
back from the home it would not be so overbearing.

Associate Planner DaInes indicated this could be a condition of the CUP.

Commissioner Rogers wondered why the existing shed was placed so far back on the lot.

Planning Commission/June 5, 2008
