Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br />A FIRE INSPECTOR <br />WHEREAS, the City's former Fire Marshal resigned from his position effective <br />July 2008, and <br />WHEREAS, on July 8, 2008 the City Council authorized staff to reclassify the <br />Fire Marshal position to Fire Inspector and begin the recruitment process to fill the Fire <br />Inspector position; <br />WHEREAS, an internal recruitment process was conducted and three <br />applications were received. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Hire .Matt Kohner as the City's new Fire Inspector, effective. September 2, 2008, at an <br />hourly wage of $26.33. All personnel polices will apply normally.. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, ,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 12th day of August 2008. <br />-116- <br />
