<br />upon approval of the City Council, which may impose such conditions on this issuance of such
<br />permits as the Council may deem appropriate. In deciding on the issuance of an animal permit,
<br />the Council shall consider the effects of the use on adjacent properties, sanitary condition,
<br />disposal of animal waste, noise, odor, or any other factor affecting the health, safety or welfare
<br />of the City.
<br />
<br />Fridlev
<br />No person shall engage in the keeping, raising, feeding or caring for livestock within the City limits of
<br />Fridley without first having obtained a license to do so.
<br />1. A license to keep livestock shall be granted only after written application, signed by the
<br />applicant, is filed with the City. The application shall state the applicant's full name and address,
<br />and contain the number and species of the livestock to be kept and a scaled site plan of the
<br />premises showing the adjoining property and fence lines.
<br />2. The Council, in considering whether a livestock license should be granted shall review the
<br />application and site plan to consider the nature of the livestock, the possible effect on adjoining
<br />properties, housing facilities, sanitation control and the effect on the general health, safety and
<br />welfare of the public. .
<br />3. Any person keeping, raising, feeding or caring for horses, cattle, goats, sheep or swine shall
<br />provide no less than one (1) acre of open, unused land for each animal.
<br />4. Organic matter shall not be allowed to accumulate for more than one (1) week at a time.
<br />However, organic matter shall be removed more often than one (1) time per week if it is
<br />necessary to eliminate any odors that constitute a nuisance.
<br />5. Proper housing in the form of barns, coops or hutches shall be provided in any area where
<br />livestock are permitted to roam. Such housing shall be adequately fenced to insure that the
<br />livestock remain on the owner's premises. When livestock are kept in an area that abuts or .
<br />adjoins a residential area on which dwellings are erected, there shall be a strip of land at least
<br />thirty (30) feet wide between such abutting property and the area on which the livestock are
<br />kept.

<br />ChamDlin
<br />Hoofed and agricultural animals. No person shall keep, harbor, or maintain care, custody, or control
<br />over any horse, cow, sheep, pig, goat, or any other hoofed animal, chicken, duck, goose or other
<br />agricultural animal or fowl any place in the city. This section shall not prohibit the keeping of such
<br />animal in a stable that complies with the zoning code. The maximum number shall not exceed one
<br />. animal per one acre of land.
<br />
<br />Albertville
<br />On lots of 2.5 acres and over, with the exception of farms, the following types of animals shall be
<br />permitted at a maximum density of one animal unit per acre: equine, cattle, sheep, goats, or similar,
<br />turkeys, ducks or similar, chickens rabbits or similar.
<br />1. Fences or other means of confinement shall be provided sa as to prevent the movement of
<br />animals across property lines or onto pUblic roads.
<br />2. Structure to be used exclusively for the keeping and maintaining of animals and appurtenant
<br />equipment and supplies shall be permitted, in addition to the other accessory structures. Such
<br />structures shall be located at least 100 feet from the residence.
