He noted that an informational meeting was held on March 6, 2008, and a
public hearing on March 11, 2008. He stated that the work has been completed and final
costs tabulated which is why the City is holding a public hearing tonight, before the City
passes on the assessments for that work. He stated that the cost of this work is assessed
50% to the general fund and 50% to benefiting property owners. He stated that the City
used to do have this same program for sealcoating, however the City is phasing this out
over a 7-year period.

Councilmember Elvig left the Council Chambers at 7:59 p.m.

City Engineer Jankowski stated that the actual costs are slightly higher than the estimates,
except for one project, and this is primarily due to the oil price increase.

Citizen Input

There was none.

Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to close the
public hearing.

City Council!
