We could <br />pick an arbitrary date - however, given the adequate lead time beforethis Event will <br />occur (summer of '09), it remains expedient to choose an exact date to correspond with <br />the availability of the site.... To emphasize Just once more - expediting the site/venue and <br />a date...certain for this Event, is our utmost concemat this point. ""'........~..........~ fl'"J-...-.............. <br /> <br />- >V.JJ ...... _<'l""!" -~~,.,..,.." ~ <br /> <br />Concluding Thoughts: <br /> <br />The idea of joining together with a nUlD-ber of5chools for a Reunion, is monumental. The <br />feasibility is superlative. A gathering of schools to reunite alumni, and to emphasize <br />education and urban issues, will educate and excite the metro-community. There is <br />hardly anything that will measure up to the benevolent act of helping the Helpless. This <br />Event will help children receive needed organ transplants to help save lives! After this <br />Event is concluded, people will walk away satisfied, taking with them the knowledge that <br />their entry ticket has helped save a life, and has created a college education for some <br />young adults. The very fact that the nostalgic past can be coupled with the discussion of <br />current issues, will certify that school reunions of the future should, and will, address <br />more than just 'a walk down memory lane.' Nostalgic memories can be beautiful, and <br />will always be with us, unchanged and enjoyed. Yet, vital and present...day issues (not <br />stuck in the past), can be changed, or at least brought to the surface and made visible. <br />The High School Reunion Committee, given the opportunity, stands ready to do its part <br />for participating schools of the Greater Twin Cites Metro Area. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />
