Motion by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to adopt Resolution #04-00-109 Authorizing the Hiring of Sean Sullivan to Finance TIF Specialist. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Connolly, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: None. 2) Authorize Hiring of Half Time Secretary Human Resources Manager Heryla stated the Personnel Committee met earlier tonight and recommended the Council authorize removing Pamela Miller from her first probationary period and to authorize the hiring of Ms. Miller to fill the other half-time secretary position effective April 26, 2000, contingent upon successful completion of a second six month probationary period. With the two half time positions combined, her annual salary would be $25,207. Motion by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Connolly to adopt Resolution #00-04-110 Ending the Probationary Period for Part-Time Secretary Pamela Miller. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Connolly, Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: None. Motion by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Connolly to'adopt Resolution//00-04-111 Authorizing the Hiring of Pamela Miller to Half-Time Secretary (Making her a Full Time Secretary). Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Connolly, Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: None. 3) Authorize Hiring of an Engineer Human Resources Manager Heryla explained that following Council authorization on January t 1, 2000, staff began the 'process to hire an Engineer. The position was advertised and six applications were received. Five of the six applicants were interviewed on April 20, 2000. The interview panel consisted of the Director of Public Works, City Engineer, Andover City Engineer, Dave Hutton from WSB & Associates, and Ms. Heryla herself. Ms. Heryla stated the Personnel Committee met earlier tonight and recommended the hiring of Bran Olson, a current engineer with the City of New Brighton, contingent upon successful completion of background investigations of driving record and criminal history, reference checks, and a physical examination, subject to a six month probationary period, at an annual salary of $57,268. Motion by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to authorize the Hiring of Brian Olson as Engineer. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, CounciLmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Connolly, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: None.
