<br />Council Member <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br />PART-TIME BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, inAugust 2008, staff proposed and was authorized to cancel the <br />cleaning contract, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 26, 2008 the City Council authorized staffto begin a <br />recruitment process for a part-time regular employee (24 hrs/wk) to assist with cleaning City <br />facilities, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and 32 applications were received <br />and 7 applicants were interviewed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Grant authorization to hire Steven Paquette as a part-time regular Building Maintenance <br />Worker, effective October 29,2008, at an hourly wage of$15.22. All other personnel <br />polices will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 28th day of October 2008. <br /> <br />-108- <br />
