-132— <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING BENEFITS CONTRACTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is committed to attracting and retaining quality <br />employees to serve the community; and <br />WHEREAS, competitively priced benefits are essential to effectively compete <br />for quality employees; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council approve two -year benefits <br />contracts with Assurant and Minnesota Life and maintain current contracts with <br />HealthPartners and Delta Dental. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey approves two -year benefits contracts <br />with Assurant and Minnesota Life and maintains current contracts with <br />HealthPartners and Delta Dental. The contracts with Assurant and Minnesota <br />Life will be effective January 1, 2009- December 31, 2010. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 25 day of November, 2008. <br />
