<br />Police Technician Wiemann stated that there could be another identifying mark. She stated that <br />they consider it packing the record, where scratches and things like that are helpful. She stated <br />that according to our ordinance, items have to be specifically put into our system and if that isn't <br />done, there is a violation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson asked when searches are done to find, say a saw, do they use specific <br />fields to do the search. <br /> <br />Police Technician Wiemann stated that they could search on a number offields. <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson stated that since most people cannot provide serial numbers, model <br />numbers, additional information would be key fields. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if it is a violation not to have additional information. He asked if <br />Police Technician Wiemann tries, if the City gets something that doesn't have enough <br />. information, to make sure it doesn't keep happening. <br /> <br />Police Technician Wiemann stated that she has contacted Mr. Jerdin on specifically what has to <br />be in the system and how to correct it and is hasn't been done. She stated that she has been <br />showing him which fields need to be updated. She stated that these violations were printed out <br />this week and have not been corrected. She stated that they happened in July, so he was <br />contacted probably the following week that these needed to be corrected. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that he would like to introduce Exhibits 1-4, 6,7, and 10 from this <br />document. <br /> <br />Mr. Sliderman stated that they object to the authenticity of all these exhibits. He stated that their <br />concern is if there is any evidence that his client was provided a copy of the systematic Exhibit, <br />4,5,6,7,8, and 9. He stated that none ofthe documents should be admitted because his client has <br />not received this. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that he would have the opportunity to testify that he didn't receive <br />them. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that these are evidence of events that occurred and noted that he is <br />not offering Exhibits 5, 8 and 9, at this point. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen admitted Exhibits 1-4, 6,7, and 10 into evidence. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that Police Technician Wiemann had stated that when errors come <br />up, they cause compliance checks and he asked what she meant. <br /> <br />Police Technician Wiemann stated that the errors are not submitting data at the close of <br />business day but that doesn't not prompt a compliance check, but there is an opportunity to do <br />that, as warranted. <br /> <br />Special City Council Meeting / November 18, 2008 <br />Page 8 of 19 <br />
