Case #7: Out-of-Class Pay

City Administrator Schroeder stated that there may be occasions in the future for supervisory
"acting" positions to be named. He suggested that rather than a formal written policy regarding
out-of-class pay, it may be better to deal with the situation administratively on a case-by-case basis.

It was the consensus of the City Council that a formal policy regarding out-of-class pay was not
necessary and if this issue should arise, it will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT

The goals list for 1992, drafted by City Administrator Schroeder, was discussed and a workshop
was scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 1991 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Ramsey
Municipal Center to allow for public comment and suggestions.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the meeting.

Motion carried.
