This will allow time for additional research on the pavers. <br /> <br />Commissioning AJ!ent <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated for the small price paid for this servIce, the reassurance of <br />everything working is well worth it. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was to include an increase in the budget for the Commission <br />Agent. <br /> <br />Potential Bid Alternates <br />Ms. Badinger reviewed the following potential bid alternates: <br /> <br />· Alternate Wall Stone Material <br />· Provide Zinc Allow Metal Roof in lieu of Anodized Metal Roof <br />· Streetscape at Sunwood, Sapphire, Civic Center Drive <br />· Perimeter Four Foot Stone Fence: East & South of Police Parking <br /> <br />Landscaping Plan <br />Damon Farber of Farber and Associates reviewed the landscaping base plan, which meets the <br />Town Center base requirements. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson requested direction from the Council regarding an additional <br />$100,000 into the landscaping budget. She explained the Facilities Committee discussed that the <br />City is acting as a model with this project. If the City only completes the bare minimum <br />requirements it will be difficult to negotiate extras for other projects. The Committee discussed <br />that some level of ramping up of the landscaping plan might be in the City's best interest. <br /> <br />Mr. Farber reviewed the proposed landscaping plan with an increase of $ 100,000 in the budget. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stressed the need to budget for maintenance of the landscaping. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/February 1, 2005 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br />
