Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09-03-XXX <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF PARK IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUNDS <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF IP#OS-22, SUNFISH LAKE PARK AND TRAIL PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, on January 9`h, 2009 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitaion of bids, <br />and;. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 08-22, Sunfish <br />Lake Park, bids were received on March 1 1, 2009 ,opened and tabulated according to law, and; <br />WHEREAS, upon review of the bids the City is proposing to self perform certain tasks as <br />noted below: <br />Task Cost <br />Clearing, Grubbing and Debris Removal $ 15,000 <br />Rough Grading for park and trail $ 10,000 <br />Labor for installing and removing silt fence $ 11,780 <br />Coordinate capping and sealing well $ 1,500 <br />Install cedar cladding on canoe rack $ 600 <br />Construct boardwalk and 38' dock/ pier $3,709 <br />Total Transfer from Park Trust Fund to $ 42,589 <br />General Fund <br />Direct Purchase of Materials 19,170 <br />Transfer from Park Trust Fund to Tax $ 30,000 <br />Increment Financing District #1 <br />Trail retaining wall (max not to exceed) $ 40 000 <br />Transfer from Trail Fund to Contractor $.40,000 <br />Contingency from Park Trust Fund $ 30,000 <br />Maximim $5,000/ item without Council <br />Approval <br />Total Park Trust Fund Expenditures $121,759 <br />Total Trail Fund Expenditures $ 40,000 <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the Engineers estimate was $400,000 and the lowest responsible bidder is <br />.American Liberty, Inc at $229,501.19 for the base bid and $58,088.62 for the alternate, total bid <br />RESOLUTION #09-03-X:XX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />-153- <br />
