Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Reeve, Brauer, Van Scoy and
Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Cbmmissioners Johnson and Shepherd.

Rod Decker, 142'39 Alpaca Street, apologized for being late. He stated he was Watching from
home and had to come in to voice his opinion. He stated his property abuts a B2 area, wb_ich
would mean they could have a business tight next to them, with no buffeting required. He
indicated he has a two and one-half acre lot. He works hard, is raising a family, and would like
for the Met Council to not decide how he will live. He would like Ramsey to stand up for their
residents.

Principal Planner Trudgeon noted that this zoning is not a 'change, it has been B2 for
approximately 15 years.

Chairperson Nixt stated they would look at buffering. He indicated that the ordinance the City
adopted on buffering will protect Mr. Decker to some degree.

Mr. Decker indicated he believes the Commission understands his concern. He has two and a
half acres, and he wants to make sure when businesses come in there is adequate buffering.

Case #8

Review Proposed Amendments to Chapter 9

Chairperson Nixt indicated there will be a special Planning Commission meeting on May 20. He
suggested they carry over Case #8 until that meeting.

Commissioner Brauer indicated there were several editing things he found, and asked if he could
send them to Consultant Gordon prior to that meeting to save time.

Case #9

Zoning Bulletin

The Zoning Bulletin was noted.

OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS

There was none.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Reeve, to adjourn the meeting.

Motion Carried.
