CHAPTER 2 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NUMBER 2.1 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE <br />THE DUMPING OF GARBAGE <br />AND REFUSE IN THE TOWNSHIP <br />OF RAMSEY. <br /> <br /> Section 1. No person, corporation, <br />partnership, joint venture, associa- <br />tion or other form of business as- <br />sociation shall leave, place, throw <br />or deposit, or cause or permit any <br />other person to leave, place, throw <br />or deposit in or upon any street or <br />public place, or in or upon <br />vacant or private lot or premises, <br />any ashes, rubbish, garbage, refuse <br />or other like or similar substance <br />or materials. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The owner, or one <br />acting .with the owner's written <br />permission, of any private property <br />may fill in or deposit upon property <br />owned by him, ashes or other sub- <br />stances which are free from dead <br />animals or vegetable matter and <br />other unwholesome or putrid sub- <br />stances or materials, if such per- <br />son has first secured in writing <br />the permission of the town clerk to <br />do so. The town clerk shall freely <br />grant such permission, except where <br />it appears by all evidence that <br />such acts will be a nuisance or in <br />some manner be a threat to '[he <br />health or safety of the township. <br />The town board in all cases may <br />direct the town clerk to grant such <br />permission. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Every person, corpora- <br />tion, partnership, joint venture, as- <br />sociation or other form of business <br />association convicted of a violation <br />of any provision of this ordinance, <br />in Justice of Peace Court or any <br />other court, shall be punished by <br />a fine of not to exceed $100.00 or <br />imprisonment for not to exceed <br />90 days. <br /> <br /> Section 4. This ordinance shah <br />toke effect and be in force from <br />and after meeting ali requirements <br />of publication and notice as re- <br />quired by law. <br /> <br /> The above ordinance was passed <br />pursuant to the power granted <br />under M.S.A. 368.01 by unanimous <br />vote of the Town Board after a <br />complete reading and discussion <br />by the electorate then presen'~ at a <br />regular Town Board meeting duly <br />called August 21, 1967. <br /> <br /> H~ERBERT W.
