Attachment D <br />ORDINANCE 09-OS- <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE RAMSEY ZONING <br />CHAPTER. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTIONS 9.11. TITLED <br />"PERFORMANCE STANDARDS" AND 9.12 "SIGNS" OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br />A. Section 9.11.11 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />9.11.11 Permitted Encroachments. The following shall not be considered as <br />encroachments on setbacks and height requirements of the City Code: <br />a. In any yard: off-street parking spaces, terraces, awnings, canopies, steps, <br />chimneys; <br />b. ,Fences, walls and hedges: notwithstanding any other provisions of this City <br />J Code, fences, walls, and hedges are permitted in or along the edge of any <br />residential yard; <br />c. In rear yards: recreational and laundry drying equipment, arbors and <br />trellises, balconies, breezeways, open porches, detached outdoor living <br />rooms and private garages, providing a setback of five (5) feet or the depth <br />of any existing easements, whichever is greater, is maintained; <br />d. Height limitations shall not apply to barns, silos, and other structures on <br />farms, church spires, belfries, cupolas and domes, monuments, water towers, <br />fire and .hose towers, observation towers, chimneys and smokestacks, <br />telephone poles, and parapet walls not extending more than four feet. above <br />the limiting height of the building. <br />Ordinance #09-OS <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
