She stated that they are proposing a variance to enhance the existing wetlands with no <br />benches, pathways or boulders, but pure prairie restorations funded by private dollars. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood reviewed what had happened at the earlier meeting and that this <br />will involve resident consent to beautify this space. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that this feels like a bait and switch situation. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller reiterated that the application noted in. the case has <br />been withdrawn and now the applicants would like to move forward with just a beautification <br />project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey suggested that, after the neighborhood meeting, this ,issue come back to <br />the Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to table the request for <br />approval of Adopt-A-Spot Trailside Garden Improvements, and Development of Maintenance <br />Agreement. so staff can convene a meeting with the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Ramsey suggested that this item be postponed rather than tabled. <br /> <br />Amended motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to postpone <br />the request for approval of Adopt-A-Spot Trailside Garden Improvements, and Development of <br />Maintenance Agreement. so staff can convene a meeting with the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
