<br />Councilmember McGlone suggested 14 days because the nature of that item is portable <br />on demand storage. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey stated it is easier to move stuff only once and suggested about 45 days <br />and they could apply for an extension. With regard to freight trailers - we need to let <br />people know we are not allowing them. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wise felt that all this stuff has to be complaint based. He did not want <br />City staff driving around looking for these things. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller stated that when we do have a complaint for <br />these we need to have something to guide us because they are not defined clearly in the <br />Code. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that they are currently outlawed but we are giving them <br />one year to get rid of pods and membrane containers - and we are giving them a year <br />only if they are complained about. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wise stated that if one comes up at the end of the time they are being <br />"allowed", we need to give them extra time as well. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill stated that if someone is making progress, we have been <br />flexible. With regard to carports, we want to say they are specifically allowed in City <br />Code. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked about a buffer between the edge ofthe yard and the carport. <br /> <br />Mr. Gladhill replied they have to meet setbacks. It has to be a permanent structure - <br />attached to another existing structure. <br /> <br />4) Town center Funding: Possible Use of HRA Funds Held at County <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund presented a possible fund scenario for Ramsey Town Center using <br />the Letter of Credit, Anoka County HRA Funds, Water Utility Fund (internal loan) and <br />Sewer Utility Fund (internal loan). <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that's a great idea and Councilmember Dehen expressed <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Ms. Lund stated that there will be a resolution to this effect on the next regular Council <br />agenda. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session - May 5, 2009 <br />Page 9 of 14 <br />
