Tll ;1."7 Tnn-":T1<"tuuon Aiii.\ly::i~
Pub)!....; rvkt:ti.llg. Cnmmcllb
Pti~p~ :;~. of I:"

same way. There al'e too many townhouses ~ they look like miniature cities everywhere
and I don't see where all the people are going to come from to live in them! That isthe
same feeling we get from our neighbors too. In the 30 years we lived in Bl'Ooklyn Park it
went from "country" to "ghetto" and all the stores restaurants on Brooklyn Blvd. are gone
~ went to the new Maple Grove area. You shouldn't have to worry about your
neighborhood drastically changing, forcing you to move out. We like the "country"
feeling and the wildlife that we see. Hopefully the cities involved can come up with a
mutual plan for people and wildlife/environment. More ho,use/cars = more pollution.

The heavy road traffic is nearly impossible these days. Some thing drastic needs to be
ASAP. Too many people are being encouraged to move here these days when our road
can't support the usage now. We need more lanes to keep traffic moving. The traffic
signals on Hwy 10 cause long delays while waiting for the lights to change.

Homes being built along TH 47 too close to highway.

Having lived a few blocks west ofTH47 for over 22 years, it is apparent that major
changes are necessary to handle the traffic volume. What the study should answer is why
all the development was allowed in Ramsey and Anoka along TH47 before the road was
redesigned to handle the traffic. This study is about 10 years too late.

Multi~Modal
Add bike paths or widen shoulders on TH 47.
More pedestrian and bike crossing areas are needed on TH 47.
Integrate bike trails.
Fairgrounds on east side playground on west side need crossing for pedestrians.
Need a bike path ASAP on TH 47 from CSAH 116 to connect south of fairgrounds.
Map bike trails and pay attention to endpoints on roads without shoulders.
Old railroad lines should be reactivated to expand light rail connections.

Speed

Can't see southbound traffic near CR 27. Traftic moving too fast.

lam very concerned about the traffic on TH 47 from 164th Avenue to CSAH 116 (Bunker
Lake Road). I have two teenage sons who drive to school, and the speed on that road-
frightens me.

Change the speed limit to 30 mpn on TE 47 from CSAH 116 to TH 10.

The speed is too high on TH 47 by fairgrounds.

There are many driveways between fairgrounds and Bunker Lake Boulevard. Posted
speed limit should be 30 mph.

Put no more-turn lanes along TH 47. It only creates a speedway effect. Vehicles are
already traveling too fast.

h: \(1/ (,6(,..n ,1 '.Admi 1I"~Mer: Ii n,.;\rtlbk Ml~~:!i rl:.( ..i)l)!.\;<;,\',t'on itTidl\.';.dol,'

P28
