<br />The public hearing closed at 7: 1 0 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Dunaway, to recommend City <br />Council adopt the findings of fact favorable relating to the applicant's request for a conditional <br />use permit to allow for indoor retail sales of motor vehicles in the E-l Employment District. <br /> <br />Motion Carried.. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Levine, Commissioners Van Scoy, Dunaway, <br />Cleveland, Hunt and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, to recommend the <br />issuance of a conditional use permit to Complete Motor Sports to allow indoor retail sales of <br />motor vehicles in the E-l Employment District and declaring the terms of the same. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. V oting Yes: Vice Chair Levine, Commissioners VanScoy, Cleveland, <br />Dunaway, Hunt and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request to Rezone Property R-3 Residential to Planned <br />Unit Development; Case of Comforts of Home <br /> <br />Vice Chair Levine closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:12 p.m. <br />in order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearin2: <br /> <br />Vice Chair Levine called the public hearing to order at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill presented the Staff Report <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Blaine Edmundson, 4937 142nd Lane. Mr. Edmundson has concerns that the land is not <br />dedicated as a park. He brought with him a map from the County that shows that it is park land. <br />He is also concerned about the bluff. The sight line would be destroyed if the bluff was cut down <br />at all. He questioned the density of the parcel. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill stated the density is 7-15 units per acre. Staff is sensitive to the fact <br />that a lot of people consider this a park. Mr. Edmundson's map is an Anoka County base map <br />and not a map created by the City of Ramsey. The park was part: of a larger parcel that had not <br />yet been completely subdivided. There is an executed purchase agreement between the City and <br />Riverside Companies, and City Council chose to honor that purchase agreement and move <br />forward.
