iv. Both Nowthen and Ramsey shall make all of such equipment described <br />above available for mutual aid response pursuant to any such mutual aid <br />agreements Ramsey may enter into. <br />C. All equipment and buildings now owned by Ramsey or hereafter paid for and <br />acquired by Ramsey shall remain the property of Ramsey. <br />D. All equipment and buildings now owned by Nowthen or hereafter paid for and <br />acquired by Nowthen shall remain the property of Nowthen. <br />E. During the term of this Agreement, Ramsey shall assign specific personnel to <br />the Ramsey and Nowthen fire stations to respond to fire and rescue <br />emergencies required by this Agreement. The Fire Chief shall provide <br />sufficient on-call fire fighters to maintain a staff of qualified firefighters at the <br />Ramsey and Nowthen fire stations to answer fire calls and to operate available <br />equipment in such a manner so as to not at any time fall below minimum <br />standards set forth for a fire department. It is the intent of the parties that the <br />personnel assigned to the Nowthen fire station remain assigned to that fire <br />station during the term of this Agreement, provided, however, that Ramsey <br />may substitute personnel assigned to such stations as it believes necessary to <br />deliver the emergency response services required by this Agreement. <br />F. As requested by the Fire Chief from time to time, Nowthen shall assist in fire <br />fighter recruitment efforts within Nowthen. <br />4. OPERATIONAL CONTROL OF FIRE AND RESCUE OPERATIONS. <br />A. Operational control of fire and rescue operations shall be vested in the Ramsey <br />Fire Chief. The Fire Chief or his designee shall have the authority to <br />determine the type of emergency response, the deployment of personnel and <br />equipment to such emergency, and the methods of responding to such <br />emergency. <br />B. In the event of simultaneous emergencies in both Nowthen and Ramsey, the <br />Fire Chief or his designee shall have the sole authority to determine which <br />emergency shall take precedence, or if both will be responded to <br />simultaneously. Neither Nowthen nor Ramsey shall require that the <br />5 <br />
