<br />Commissioner Hunt thinks in this economic time, people have to come up with out of the <br />ordinary things t6 survive. This is a way to provide for your family. These types of repairs don't <br />seem to generate excessive noise. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dunaway has a concern of the fluids, oils, and other waste that would be used in <br />this type of business. If not properly disposed of could cause all kinds of damage to the property <br />and the surrounding the properties. <br /> <br />Commissioners discussed parking requirements. <br />inspections, and hours of operation. <br /> <br />They also discussed annual reVIews, <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Hunt, to recommend City <br />Council adopt the findings of fact favorable relating to the applicant's request for a home <br />occupation permit with amendments to the following Findings of Fact: #17 "That the proposed <br />use may not appear to be in harmony with the character of the R-l Central Rural Reserve and <br />may not appear to meet the intent of the Comprehensive Plan"; and #19 "That the proposed use <br />may not be compatible with the residential neighborhood due to density and lot size of the <br />surrounding lots". <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Van Scoy, Hunt, Cleveland, <br />and Rogers. Voting No: Commissioner Dunaway. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Levine, seconded by Commissioner Rogers, to recommend City Council <br />approve the request of a Home. Occupation, based on the findings of fact, review by the Building <br />Official, Fire Marshall and City Attorney, and with the following amendments: #3 "That the <br />established business repair hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m."; #6 "There <br />should be no outside storage of inoperable vehicles"; #15 "That the City Administrator, or his/her <br />designee, shall have the right to inspect the premises for compliance and safety purposes at any <br />time, upon reasonable request with a minimum of an annual inspection and $75 inspection fee." <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners, Rogers, Cleveland, Hunt, <br />and Van Scoy. Voting No: Commissioner Dunaway.
