FORESTClTY City of Ramsey Town Center Proposal MESA DEL SOL Mesa del Sol is a 1.2,goo-acre, 20-square mile, mixed-use community on the south mesa of Albuquerque, NM. Conveniently located five minutes from the Albuquerque International Airport, the property is in the southeast corner of the city and near two major highways, the 1-25 and the 1-40. The goal at Mesa del Sol is to make it a unique place in which to live, learn, work, and play. At full build out, Mesa del Sol will include 37,500 residential units and l8 million square feet of commercial space (industrial, office and retail). l,400 acres have been designated for a commercial center, Innovation Park, which is designed to attract economic base jobs. Albuquerque Studios, an 8-soundstage movie lot, is currently operating at Innovation Park. In addition, Fidelity Investments, Schott Solar, Molina Healthcare and multiple U.S. General Services Administration projects are either operational or under construction. Our Philosophy at Mesa del Sol is urban lifestyle and sustainability. Our New Urbanism philosophy which creates a strong sense of community by incorporating features of traditional cities, towns, and neighborhoods, Mesa del Sol focuses on forming neighborhoods and diverse districts, conserving natural environments, and preserving the original landscape. Forest City hired the world's preeminent New Urbanist planner, Peter Calthorpe, to assist in the master plan and on-going design.
