<br />Case #2: <br /> <br />CONSIDER ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR FUTURE BUSINESS PARK <br />- Continued- <br /> <br />EDA would like some comparisons run against the land owned by the Pearson's and the land <br />currently for sale on the north side of Highway 10. Also, the group would like Economic <br />Development Coordinator Sullivan to look into our options in terms of development and <br />infrastructure for both the north 'and south pieces, determine what it would cost to run sewer and <br />water to both sites. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Skaff, seconded by Member Williams, to reject the Pearson offer. <br />Direction given to Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan to notify the Pearson group that <br />we are rejecting the offer and to look at exercising a first right of refusal option, and we will <br />listen to other offers. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members, Look" Riley, Skaff, and Williams. <br />V oting No: None Absent: Members, Elvig, LeTourneau, Steffen <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />CONSIDER ATTENDANCE AT ICSC CHICAGO DEAL MAKING <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented Case #3. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan gave the group a short refresher on the value <br />behind our city having proper representation at the lCSC Deal Making Conference in Chicago. <br />And on Tuesday October 6, 2009 the HRA authorized sending Council Member Matt Look, <br />Council Member David Elvig and City Administrator Kurt Ulrich to the Conference. No further <br />discussion was necessary on this topic as a quick motion was made to send Economic <br />Development Coordinator Sullivan to the conference as well. . Travel will be done via auto so <br />that some rail stations could be stopped at along the way. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Skaff, seconded by Member Look, to approve Economic Development <br />Coordinator Sullivan attend the conference. And also, to take pictures of the different rail stations <br />that he stops at along the way and bring the photos back to the group for them to review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members, Look, Riley, Skaff, and Williams. <br />Voting No: None Absent: Members, Elvig, LeTourneau, Steffen <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />STAFF UPDATE <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented Case #4. <br /> <br />Martin EDM: Nothing new to report.
