Staff will be preparing a response letter to BNSF and is looking for Council feedback.
An application for an IUP will be brought back to the entire City Council at a later date. They
outlined a few questions and comments to be addressed in the City's response. The Council will
receive information as this action will require an IUP. The Committee directed staff to research
any health risks associated with this spill and clean up so the City would have additional
information readily available when the IUP comes forward to address potential concerns of the
public. They also felt it might be an opportunity to work with BNSF in a mutually beneficial
way for a future Northstar rail station.
Action:
No action required. This was presented for informational purposes.
Case #3: Consider Lighting Requirements at Street Crosswalks
Background:
Staff received a request to consider placing a street light at the marked crosswalk located at
Alpine Drive and Zuni Street.
