Background <br />In January 2010, staff began the annual recruitment and selection process to fill three <br />seats on the EDA and Planning Commission which are set to expire March 31, 2010. All <br />vacancies were advertised in the Ramsey Resident, the Anoka County Union - Shopper, on <br />the City's website and on QCTV. <br />On February 25, 2010, the City Council conducted 11 interviews to fill three vacancies. <br />Incumbents seeking reappointment and new applicants were considered in one collective <br />recruitment, interview and selection process. <br />Recommendation <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that the following individuals would be <br />appointed to the board or commission indicated. The Economic Development Authority <br />term is April 1, 2010 - March 31, 2016. Planning Commission terms are April 1, 2010 — <br />March 2014. <br />Planning Commission <br />• Mr. Gary Van Scoy <br />• Ms. Terri Cleveland <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Economic Development Authority <br />• Mr. Jim Steffen <br />Funding Source <br />Board and commission members are paid a stipend of $25 per meeting.
