t <br />s <br />LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />JULY 20, 1988 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Jim Schrantz called the meeting to order at 8;37 a.m. in <br />the Committee Room of Anoka City Hall, <br />ROLL CALL <br />Members present included Chairman Jim Schrantz, Pete Raatikka, <br />John Weaver, and Tom Mathisen. Also in attendance were legal adviser <br />Curtis Pearson and consulting engineer Dean Skallman. <br />JUNE MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Schrantz, to approve the <br />meeting minutes of 6 -15 -88 as printed. Weaver, Schrantz, and Raatikka <br />voted yes; Mathisen voted present. Motion carried. <br />TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Mathisen presented Treasurer's Reports for months ending 5 -31 -88 <br />and 6 -30 -88 with respective balances of $15,685.24 and $15,743.25. It <br />was reported that none of the four member cities have paid their first <br />half of the year dues yet, noting that the fiscal year began 2 -1 -88. <br />Another billing will be sent out requesting payment of both installments. <br />Members received a Member Operating Cost Assessments table showing <br />the breakdown of operating cost assessments and payment schedule along <br />with a valuation formula for the period 2 -1 -88 through 1- 31 -89. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Raatikka, to approve the <br />Treasurer's Report. All voted yes. Motion carried. <br />PAYMENT OF BILLS <br />Mathisen presented a bill from the City of Anoka for secretarial <br />services and copying duplication in the amount of $162.60. <br />Motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Mathisen, to pay the Anoka <br />bill. All voted yes. Motion carried. <br />A bill was received from the firm of Lund and Koehler in the amount <br />of $450 for the completion of the WMO Annual Report. Mathisen noted <br />that Frank Frederick, Finance Director for the City of Anoka, assisted <br />with the report in order to keep costs down. Members requested suf- <br />ficient number of copies be obtained of the Annual Report next year. <br />Mathisen reported that because of a time deadline, a copy of the WMO <br />Annual Report has already been sent to the State. <br />
