Schrantz stated that the developer will pay for all <br />costs of our review. However, should the cities collect a <br />fee, there should be no charge by the WMO. Skallman stated <br />that the procedure varies in different areas. Mathisen <br />referenced the information found on the bottom of the budget <br />bgJ1 the annual operating budget will include the <br />Members concurred that this item be placed on the August <br />agenda for further discussion. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />1990 Budget <br />A motion was made by Mathisen, seconded by Weaver, that the <br />same budget used last year be established for next year. All <br />voted yes. Motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Possibility of posting the boat landing. <br />Pearson reviewed the history of the proposed Minimum Wake <br />Ordinance. Following municipal public hearings, the proposed <br />ordinance has been sent on to the County for their considera- <br />tion. At this time the County Attorney's office has asked <br />this board for certain information relative to ordinance <br />consideration. <br />Weaver indicated that this board met in special meeting July <br />6 to specifically address this questionnaire issue. Weaver <br />was then directed to meet with Jon Christensen, Anoka Co. <br />Environmental Services, and Pam McCabe, Assistant Anoka <br />County Attorney, to discuss the questionnaire. He reportedly <br />has done so. <br />In answer to questions about the possibility of posting the <br />boat landing, Weaver responded that neither we, nor the City <br />of Anoka, can do that. That is strictly the County's <br />jurisdiction. <br />Al Springer, 3700 Rum River Dr., stated that the horsepower <br />sign at the boat landing was up for over 30 years and didn't <br />need enforcing. People simply cooperated. Since the sign's <br />removal the problems on the river have been increasing. <br />
