LRRWMO Fleeting Minutes <br />July 7, 1989 <br />Page 8 <br />involved didn't feel it should be used for anything but <br />passive recreation. <br />Guy Bartolain, 3544 Rum River Dr., reported that he recently <br />reported a boating incident by calling 911. He was told that <br />the County Boat Patrol would have to respond on the body of <br />water. He disagreed stating that he felt a squad car could <br />have driven up to the landing and simply viewed the situation <br />and �aken the approprjat q e mFasures inFludin m�hin y no one areas S p ran g the er ff s <br />office ever responded to the call. Mr. Bartolain suggested <br />that in the future the boat numbers should be obtained along <br />with pictures if possible. Schrantz stated that these type <br />of incidents should be documented and sent in to the proper <br />authorities. <br />Lyle Bradley, 15202 7th Ave. N.W., Andover, queried if there <br />was any means of financial assistance for a property owner <br />who would like to reinforce their river bank in severely <br />eroded areas. Raatikka stated that the DNR may be able to <br />provide some assistance if three or more residents get <br />together and make application. <br />Weaver reported that there won't be any enactment or enforce- <br />ment on Rum River regulations this year. Weaver further <br />suggested that Nis. McCabe and Mr. Christensen be invited to <br />attend the August WMO meeting, at which time Ms. McCabe will <br />receive questionnaire information from the various <br />municipalities and both will as being available to provide <br />feedback from the County level. Members concurred. <br />Clarification of the Recording Secretary's duties <br />Due to the lateness of the hour, members concurred that this <br />item be placed on the August agenda for consideration at that <br />time. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further discussion, a motion was made by <br />Mathisen, seconded by Raatikka, that the meeting adjourn. <br />All voted yes.
