LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION
JULY 19, 1989
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Jim Schrantz called the meeting to order at 8:40
a.m. in the Committee Room of Anoka City Ball.
ROLL CALL
Members present at roll call included Chairman Jim Schrantz,
Pete Raatikka, John .Weaver, and Tom Mathisen.
Guests in attendance were: Consulting Engineer Dear,
Skallman, Lyle Bradley, Al Springer, Arnie Carlson, Guy
Bartolain, John Underwood, and legal consultant Curt Pearson.
JUNE MINUTES
A motion was made by Mathisen, seconded by Weaver, to approve
the June 21, and July 6, 1989, meeting minutes as printed.
All voted yes. Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Mathisen presented the Treasurer's Report for the period
ending June 30, 1989, showing a balance of $21,455.65. There
was very little activity. Mathisen reported that we are
slowly breaking even and not accumulating a surplus. The
Cities of Andover, Anoka, and Coon Rapids have paid their
half year dues. Raatikka stated that he would check on the
status of Ramsey's membership dues. Mathisen stated that
Anoka overpaid in the amount of $1,027.95 and will be reim-
bursed for that amount.
A motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to approve
the Treasurer's Report as presented. All voted yes. Motion
carried.
Pearson reminded the group that as soon as the Water Manage-
ment Plan is approved by the Board of Soil and Water
Resources, this board must mandate and supervise each com-
munity in preparing their local plan. You will then, in
effect, become the review agency of local government.
Raatikka added that the Engineering Consultant will be
reviewing the city plans.
