` SPECIAL LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
July 6, 1989
Page 2
Weaver agreed to first contact Pamela McCabe, Jon
Christensen, and perhaps Commissioner Natalie Haas - Stephen at
the County level to determine their input for the required
questionnaire. He will then communicate with engineering
consultant Dean Skallman so that he will know what he has to
do. Upon contact with Mr. Skallman, Weaver will query how
much Barr Engineering would charge for the estimated 4 -5
hours work needed to complete the questionnaire. Members
agreed that they would agree to spending up to $500 for Barr
Engineering's assistance. Weaver will bring all information
back for full board consideration at the July 19 regular
meeting. The Recording Secretary was directed to send a copy
of the questionnaire to Skallman along with a cover letter
under Secretary Weaver's signature, with copies sent to
attorney Curt Pearson for his information.
Members agreed that perhaps Lyle Bradley, Mr. and Mrs. Guy
Bartolain, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Springer may be willing to
assist in the completion of portions of the questionnaire.
The Recording Secretary was directed to dispatch a copy of
the questionnaire, along with an appropriate cover letter
under Weaver's signature, to these individuals informing them
of the process being undertaken and inviting their
suggestions and comments.
Weaver also agreed to put together a written history of the
proposed Minimum Wake Ordinance and present it for LRRWMO
consideration at the next regular meeting.
A motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Mathisen, that the
action discussed during this meeting be implemented in order
to expedite the completion of the required questionnaire with
an end toward implementing needed regulations on the lower
Rum River. All voted yes. Motion carried.
There being no further discussion, a motion was made,
seconded, and unanimously carried that the meeting should
adjourn. Time of adjournment: 8:05 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Mava Mikkonen, Recording Secretary
