LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
September 19, 1990
Page 4
Motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to APPROVE
THE TREASURER'S REPORT AS PRESENTED.
d_ ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
PAYMENT OF BILLS (Cont.) None.
REPORT OF OFFICERS None.
CONSIDERATION OF COMMUNICATIONS
Members acknowledged an August 31, 1990, memorandum from Jim
Birkholz, Executive Director of the Minnesota Board of Water
and Soil Resources, regarding the environmental review
process, EAW form and guidelines.
The recording secretary requested permission to purchase a
telephone number /address retention system of some sort for
LRRWMO use, indicating a serviceable Rolo -Dex type of file
was found at Anoka's Northern Stationers for $14.95. A City
of Anoka accountant informed her the purchase of this file
would qualify for the city's 15 per cent discount.
The board agreed to allow the secretary up to $20.00 on the
purchase of this office supply.
OLD BUSINESS
Alternative Permitting Procedure and Permit Fee Collection
Weaver reported the City of Anoka City Council has reviewed
and approved the LRRWMO alternative permitting procedure.
Schultz added Council further suggested the LRRWMO allow
written reports from the cities on a quarterly basis, rather
than monthly.
Jankowski noted Curt Pearson, in his September 17, 1990,
letter commenting on this permitting procedure, indicated the
generally accepted standard size for WMO review of all
industrial and commercial development is areas of greater
than five, not two, acres. (See permitting procedure
II.A.3.)
Weaver felt the City of Anoka would have no problem changing
this portion from two to five acres.
Raatikka stated the City of Ramsey has not yet responded to
this alternative permitting procedure.
