LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />March 21, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br />W <br />Lin <br />,1 <br />Mathisen presented a proposed 1990 budget dated February 1, <br />1990, showing a grand total of $10,000.00. This budgeted <br />amount was recommended in light of last year's experience. <br />Members concurred a $10,000 reserve be kept on hand. <br />The Treasurer's Report for the period ending February 28, <br />1990, was presented showing a balance of $15,427.61. <br />Mathisen reported he will be getting the valuation from the <br />county, and assessments should be sent out to member cities <br />in July or August 1990. Raatikka pointed out should the <br />Riverdale Mall come in, Coon Rapids' valuation will <br />increase. Weaver recommended member cities be notified as <br />soon as possible that it is the consensus of this board that <br />the monetary participation level from member cities will <br />exceed what was done in the past. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Raatikka, to APPROVE <br />THE TREASURER'S REPORTS AS PRESENTED. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />PAYMENT OF BILLS - None. <br />REPORT OF OFFICERS <br />Weaver presented a Slow /No Wake Ordinance which was intro- <br />duced for a first reading by the Anoka City Council at its <br />March 19, 1990, regular meeting, which, if adopted, would <br />establish a Slow /No Wake Zone within the City of Anoka from <br />the confluence of the Mississippi River to where Anoka abuts <br />the Cities of Ramsey and Andover. Anoka's City Attorney must <br />present this proposed ordinance to the Department of Natural <br />Resources for their review prior to the second reading and <br />final adoption. <br />Motion was made by Raatikka, <br />INDICATE TO THE CITY OF ANOKA <br />WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION <br />RIVER WITHIN THE CITY OF ANOKA. <br />seconded by Mathisen, to <br />THAT-THE LOWER RUM RIVER <br />CONCURS WITH THEIR PROPOSED <br />OF WATERCRAFT ON THE RUM <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />CONSIDERATION OF COMMUNICATIONS <br />Members were in receipt of a <br />Scherkenbach, Director of the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, <br />of the Minnesota Board of Water and <br />ing comments on the LRRWMO Water <br />letter was received approximately <br />Anoka offices.
