LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
March 21, 1990
Page 3
ID and comments and report back at the next meeting. Skallman
agreed to check with other watersheds to see what comments
they received from the PCA.
Raatikka stated the individual cities' plans will have the
more detailed review. Weaver agreed many of these are items
specific to the individual cities which they should respond
to rather than having the LRRWMO spend money on them. The
cities should then communicate to the LRRWMO letting them
know that the particular issue or issues have been addressed.
Skallman concurred that these comments seemed excessively
detailed compared to what other organizations have received.
Skallman was also directed to determine which of these items
should be addressed by the watershed and which should be
addressed by the local communities, including the costs of
doing some of this things should it become mandatory.
Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Raatikka, DIRECTING
SKALLMAN TO REVIEW THE POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY COMMENTS ON
THE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN, INVESTIGATE FURTHER, AND REPORT
BACK AT THE NEXT MEETING AS INDICATED DURING DISCUSSION.
4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Barr Engineering Fee Schedule
The commission reviewed the updated fee schedule for Barr
Engineering's services. Skallman stated these costs are
fairly typical in comparison to other firms. He added his
superiors authorized a 26 1/2 cent mileage charge, which is
used by the Federal government now; but because of bookkeep-
ing costs, they propose to write off the $25 per year mileage
costs on the December billing.
Motion was made by Mathisen, seconded by Weaver, to CONTINUE
USING THE SERVICES OF BARR ENGINEERING AT THEIR EXISTING FEE
SCHEDULE FOR ANOTHER YEAR BUT LETTING THEM KNOW WE ARE
CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR PRICES. IN ADDITION, THE LRRWMO WILL
ACCEPT THE PROPOSED 26 1/2 CENT PER MILE MILEAGE COST WITH
SAID CHARGES WRITTEN OFF IN THE AMOUNT OF $25.00 ON THE
DECEMBER BILLING, AS REQUESTED.
4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
Summary of February 21 Joint Councils Meeting
The commission discussed the February 21, 1990, 7:00 p.m.
joint meeting with the member city councils. Concerns
expressed during the joint meeting relative to the potential
confusion of the way the LRRWMO classifies waters in the
