LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
October 16, 1991
Page 7
Mikkonen was directed to write to Skallman, Barr Engineering,
relaying the board's comments. Schrantz indicated should it
be impossible for a telephone log to be provided for this
billing, one should be prepared for all future billings.
VOTE: 4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Jankowski, seconded by Erickson, to
APPROVE THE TREASURER'S REPORT AS PRESENTED.
4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
PAYMENT OF BILLS (Continued)
Monitoring on Round Lake
With the full board now present, consideration was given to
the Anoka County Soil and Water Conservation District's
request to make at least partial payment for the Round Lake
gauging program during 1991, as well as the secchi disk
station established.
Jankowski recalled the earlier discussions during the meeting
determined that Mikkonen would contact the Department of
Natural Resources and query whether other agencies are
collecting this same information.
Schrantz stated he would like to pay for this Round Lake
information gathering expense this year.
It was noted the Round Lake readings were not part of the
LRRWMO agreement with the SWCD. However, Jankowski concurred
with Schrantz it is reasonable that the LRRWMO pay for it in
that it is part of our goals to sponsor lake readings on a
continual basis. Round Lake is within our watershed
district.
Motion was made by Jankowski, seconded by Schrantz, to
AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF THE $144.00 FOR THE ROUND LAKE GAUGING
PROGRAM AND AN ADDITIONAL $35.00 FOR SECCHI DISK READINGS
DURING THE 1991 SEASON, TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE 1991 BUDGET'S
CONTINGENCY FUND BALANCE.
4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
Jankowski added the board will have to consider, next year,
whether it wishes to monitor all four lakes: Round Lake,
Rogers, Itaska, and Sunfish.
