LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
November 19, 1992
Page 4
iation of Water
The board noted the receipt of an October 20, 1992, memoran-
dum from Barbara W. Ohman, Board Conservationist for the
MnBWSR, inviting the LRRWMO to attend a meeting hosted by the
MnBWSR to solicit input and interest in the formation of a
Metropolitan Association of Water Management Organizations
(WMO's). Said meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24,
1992, at 7:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn Park City Hall. Schrantz
indicated he plans to attend that meeting. He felt it is
important the WMO's get together and learn from each other.
Also noted was an October 29, 1992, letter from Sheryl
Corrigan, Metropolitan Council, requesting that this board
complete a SWLRB Model Survey. Considerable discussion
ensued. Jankowski felt this survey seemed to be a rather
poor format in which to obtain the information requested.
Weaver added that he hates to see duplication when this
information must be available somewhere. Schrantz stated all
that information should be part of the Flood Plain Management
Plan. Jankowski indicated the FEMA map should also have all
that information which an intern should be able to compile
for the Metropolitan Council.
It was the consensus of the board, therefore, that the
Engineering staffs of the Cities of Andover and Anoka will
respond to this Metropolitan Council requested survey.
The board also acknowledged the receipt of an October 1992
letter from D'Wayne DeZiel, Executive Director of the
Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation
Districts, advising of their 1992 Annual Convention scheduled
for December 6 -8, 1992, at the Radisson South Hotel,
Bloomington, Minnesota.
PENDING PROJECTS /PERMIT REVIEWS
Second Quarter Written Reports - Coon Rapids and Ramsey
Jankowski reviewed Ramsey's written project report covering
the period through November 1992. He indicated on the
Rivenwick project an LRRWMO permit has not been taken out
yet. The engineer for the developer has been asked to apply
for one.
Jankowski responded to several inquiries of the other members
by indicating of this report there are approximately 3 -400
total lots in the MUSA area. All of them will be sewered
except for Alicia Addition and Rivers Bluff projects.
