Special LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
September 22, 1992
Page 4
Knutson indicated the past bills owed Barr Engineering total
$3,504.17 plus this most recent billing for $1,262.00. He
stated he was satisfied with the detailed billing explanation
received from Skallman during the recent telephone discus-
sion, and recommended the LRRWMO pay these Barr Engineering
charges except for the 0.2 hour charged to this board when he
referred Mr. Anderson to the Coon Creek Watershed.
Knutson queried- if this board should be responsible for
engineering expertise provided an individual on a potential
project within this jurisdiction when the project never pans
out. Schrantz stated if the project does not pan out, the
engineer charges the LRRWMO, and this board then bills the
appropriate city. Ottensman stated he is not about to pay
for engineering expenses when he has not referred the
individual to the engineer. These individuals should not be
referred to the engineer unless the city is ready to pay for
it.
The board also noted a bill from attorney Curtis Pearson for
professional services provided during the period April 29
through August 31, 1992, in the amount of $462.50. It was
noted that this is the first legal bill for this year, with a
$3,500 budget for legal services.
Motion was made by Ottensman, seconded by Weaver, to AUTHO-
RIZE PAYMENT OF ALL OUTSTANDING BARR ENGINEERING BILLS AND
DISTRIBUTION OF THE CHECKS, INCLUDING THIS MOST RECENT ONE
FOR $1,262.00, LESS THE 0.2 HOURS RELATING TO COON CREEK
AFFAIRS. ALSO AUTHORIZED IS THE PAYMENT OF THE LEGAL BILLING
IN THE AMOUNT OF $462.50.
4 ayes - 0 nayes.
