LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />December 17, 1992 <br />Page 4 <br />In defense of his motion, Jankowski stated he is not suggest- <br />ing the board change its 1993 budget. Just that before we <br />send out the second half bills that we take a look at the <br />budget. Jankowski concurred he felt the LRRWMO is operating <br />under a conservative budget. <br />Schrantz agreed the board could take a look at it in August <br />and see if we want to use the surplus in 1994. <br />Schultz cautioned that this board should also keep a surplus <br />to cover unknown contingencies. Knutson concurred there may <br />be state mandates coming about which we are unaware. Schultz <br />indicated he was not comfortable voting in favor of this <br />motion without a recommendation from the Deputy Treasurer on <br />what kind of budgetary surplus this organization should <br />carry. <br />Schrantz stated he would be willing to review the budget <br />balances in August. <br />VOTE: 3 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />The Administrative Secretary informed the board she will be <br />receiving a 2.5 per cent wage increase from the City of Anoka <br />effective January 1, 1993. Since this board has historically <br />approved her salary concurrent with that paid her by the City <br />of Anoka, she requested the board's consideration of the <br />upcoming wage increase for LRRWMO- related activities. <br />Motion was made by Schrantz, and unanimously seconded, to <br />APPROVE A 2.5 PER CENT WAGE INCREASE FOR MAVA MIKKONEN <br />EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1993. <br />3 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />Consideration of Fidelity Bond Insurance <br />Knutson <br />Olson, <br />board <br />referred to a November 16, 1992, letter from Conway <br />Vice - President, T. C. Field & Company, reminding the <br />that it presently carries <br />coverage. Knutson indicated that <br />available.
