LRRWMC Meeting Minutes
September 17, 1992
Page 11
The board made its scheduled telephone call to Skallman.
Schrantz queried of Skallman several issues of concern.
Following the telephone conversation, Schrantz reported
Skallman indicated he discussed the billings for the checks
being held since December 1991 with Knutson last week;
Knutson was reportedly satisfied with the explanation
provided.
Schultz reported he has this original bill on his desk from
Barr Engineering which provides further information. Schultz
was informed Knutson wanted to talk to him about the bill
before it was approved for payment. Unfortunately, Knutson
was unable to meet with Schultz prior to this meeting.
Weaver recommended the consideration of this bill be held
over to the September 22, 1992, special meeting. The other
board members concurred. Consideration of the bill received
from the LRRWMO attorney for professional services rendered
from April 29, 1992, through August 31, 1992, in the amount
of $462.50, was also continued to the September 22, 1992,
special meeting.
REPORT OF OFFICERS None.
CONSIDERATION OF COMMUNICATIONS - (Continued)
Miscellaneous Correspondence
A September 14, 1992, letter from Tony Brough, District
Technician for the Anoka County Soil and Water Conservation
District, enclosing data sheets showing the existing recorded
lake level elevations for the three lakes within the LRRWMO
jurisdiction: Round Lake, Lake Itasca, and Rogers Lake. The
board queried whether any seechi disk readings were taken on
these lakes, noting that we contracted for seechi disk
readings on Rogers lake. The Administrative Secretary was
directed to contact Mr. Brough about this matter.
An August 7, 1992, memorandum from Ron Harnack and Fred
Bergsrud, BWSR, was noted. Said memorandum was in reference
to a recent partnership between BWSR and the Minnesota
Extension Service (MES) in an effort to educate others about
the wise use of natural resources. No action taken.
The board also noted a letter from the Minnesota Pollution
Control Agency announcing its fifth application cycle for the
Clean Water Partnership grant program, and that grant appli-
cations will be accepted through October 29, 1992. No action
taken.
