Each <br />time the Sate adopts a new version, the City's Code has to be amended to reference the correct <br />version. The City has been notified that this month the Minnesota Building Codes and Standards <br />Division will be converting from the Uniform Building Code to the International Building Code <br />· (IBC). Municipalities that enforce the State Building Code need to update their building code to <br />reflect the change. The ordinance proposed at this time is self-perpetuating and will always <br />reflect the most current edition of the State Building Codel <br /> <br />Motion by 'Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to introduce an <br />ordinance to adopt the Minnesota State Building Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Pearson, Cook, Elvig, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Request for Final Plat Review of Sandy Acres;. Case of Michael Schelkoph <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated that Michael Schelkoph has applied for final plat approval to <br />subdivide his homestead (approximately 4.7 acres) on Ramsey Boulevard at I53"a Avenue NW.. <br />The property is zoned R-1 Residential and is located in the Central Rural Reserve Area. The <br />proposed minor subdivision is a replat of the Schelkoph homestead that will create two new lots. <br />Proposed Lot 1 is approximately 2.11 acres, and Proposed Lot'2 is approximately 2.60 acres. <br />The applicant was granted a variance by the Board of Adjustment to the 2.5-acre minimum lot <br />size and the four units per 40-acre density on August 29, 2002.
