Jankowski recalled that last year he issued a restoration order on a property owner in Ramsey, and nothing happened. He stated he would like to be able to tell the property owner exactly what will happen to him if he does not comply. Will those not complying with the law be taken to court? Upon further discussion on these Andover cease and desist orders, Schrantz stated the property owners were not present at the time of inspection. Those present when the site was inspected are still working on it. The information presented at this meeting merely. indicates the status of the situations. There has been no talk about cost. Schrantz went on to state that according to law the SWCD has to provide a recommendation on what should be done. Weaver queried the advisability of communicating with the SWCD asking what its intentions are in these matters. Weaver queried whether both property owners were disturbing wetlands. Schrantz reported that one was directly over a wetland, and the other had dug a duck pond and put deposits in the wetland. Schrantz stated he will follow up with Chris Lord, SWCD, who, in turn, will make recommendation to the LRRWMO. Ensuing discussion indicated the board felt the LRRWMO should have been the LGU rather than the SWCD. Weaver felt this board is obligated to push this issue along, directing that a letter be sent to Mr. Lord urging him to expedite these matters. Jankowski concurred. Motion was made by Schrantz, seconded by Weaver, to DIRECT THE ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY TO SEND A LETTER TO CHRIS LORD, ANORA COUNTY SWCD, URGING HIM TO EXPEDITE THE APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO CEASE AND DESIST ORDERS #0913 AND #0914. Pearson's Annual Audit Response Letter The board noted the receipt of a copy of a March 22, 1993, letter from legal consultant Curtis Pearson to Bruce Siegfried, CPA, addressing any outstanding legal matter which might affect the annual audit. He noted that none existed.
