Mr. Dickson
responded that Mr. Beduhn, at $15-$20 per hour cheaper than
Mr. Skallman, would be the LRRWMO's direct representative.
However, the entire Barr Engineering staff is available to
assist. Mr. Dickson indicated almost
all Barr Engineering work is done by the hour.
Jankowski noted the amount of delineation work generated with
the Wetland Conservation Act. He suggested the possibility
of spelling out in a contract whereby Barr Engineering could
become the official LRRWMO wetland delineation firm. He
queried whether Barr Engineering would take that into
consideration when billing the board far meeting attendance
or providing a flat fee for meeting attendance. Mr. Dickson
offered to assist the LRRWMO in keeping its costs down by
having Barr Engineering's wetland delineators train someone
locally. He agreed wetland delineation is a time consuming
and expensive process. Schrantz stated it is more economical
to hire a delineator and charge that expense back to the
developer.
Upon discussion of meeting times, Mr. Dickson indicated his
employees work on a flex time system. Therefore, day or
night meeting attendance makes no difference to them. They
charge by the hour any way.
