LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />October 21, 1993 <br />Page 3 <br />Review Correspondence in Chair's Folder <br />Jankowski reviewed the informational items contained in the Chair's folder. <br />PCA Letter Re ae rding Extension of the Public Comment Period for the Metropolitan <br />Wastewater Treatment Facility NPDES Permit No. MN 0029815 <br />Weaver commented that while this matter does not directly impact the LRRWMO, it will <br />have tremendous implications because the permit deals with the operation of the Pigs Eye <br />Waste Water Plant and limiting phosphorus levels of the effluent. <br />Following a short discussion, the LRRWMO agreed they support an investigation of non- <br />point control of phosphorus. <br />DNR Letter Reeardin2 Temoorarv Water Aooronriation Permit 94-6033. Anoka Countv <br />Schultz reported this work has already been completed. <br />Jankowski briefly reviewed the Advisory Report. No action required. <br />Corps of Engineers Public Notice of Amended Corps Section 404 Permit Regulations <br />No action required. <br />Coro of Engineers Notice of Permit and Enforcement Actions <br />Haas reported that the Corp and DNR are. working with. four different watersheds. to <br />simplify regulations by providing "one stop" shopping for all permits. He added that the <br />Coon Creek Watershed would like to be included in this trial program. Haas indicated <br />support for simplifying the permitting process and suggested the LRRWMO evaluate the <br />program once the trial period is completed. <br />BWSR Seminar -Wetland Conservation Act: Pro rag m Implementation <br />Haas reviewed the topics that will be covered at the upcoming BWSR Seminar. <br />Jankowski agreed this will be an important workshop for as many members of the <br />LRRWMO as possible to attend. He suggested that the content of the courses be discussed <br />at the November 18th meeting. Jankowski added that Bob Beduhn (LRRWMO Engineer) <br />will also be attending this seminar and can provide direction on what the LRRWMO should <br />be doing with these elements of the program. <br />
